Cape Evans

As you can tell from the grin on my face, I was thrilled to get a trip off the base. Here I am inside an ice cave near Cape Evans. This cave is accessible by a ladder placed at the opening. These caves are all over Antarctica, forming where glaciers advance and retreat. Some are too unstable for people to go inside. And the ice formations in this one change rapidly.

It doesn't get much bluer than this. Yes, the ice is blue.
