The picture above was actually taken the first day we boarded the plane....one of the infamous eight-hour boomerangs!

Here are some of the pictures I took from the plane....on the flight that actually made it to Antarctica, Thursday, Oct. 22.

Those three were taken from the cockpit.....while these others were shot out a tiny porthole midway up the body of the plane.

Like I said in my e-mail, the flight was not terribly comfortable....we sat face-to-face, knee-to-knee and shoulder-to-shoulder with the other passengers. There were four rows of seating on the plane....so this is just half the picture.

I'm so psyched to be here...but haven't had a chance to gather my thoughts and jot them down....I'll tell you about arriving to this amazing place as soon as I can!
